True Colours

True Colour Processing is a set of algorithms which preserve original colours while other image processing is performed. The transforms are non-linear and space-variant, and allow the precise management of local luminance levels while preserving pixel hue and saturation.

The algorithms are based on perceptual models of human vision, resulting in correct rendering of key colours such as skin tones, without the requirement for manual colour correction.

In addition, TCP is used to adapt original image colour gamut to the gamut of a particular display without clipping or loss of colour saturation.
